Weather permitting, I'm going to check out the John Muir trail on Saturday. This is probably a mountain-bike only event, but if you're daring, bring your CX bike. Forecast includes rain for Saturday, so I'll keep you posted.

The Twelve Hours of Pitch Black Singletrack will be held at Cam-Rock County Park, Rockdale, WI. Mass

Chequamegon 40
On Saturday of the event weekend, this 40 mile, mass start, point-to-point off-road bicycle event travels from downtown Hayward, WI, over the famed American Birkebeiner Ski Trail, forest roads, snowmobile trails and other wooded lanes to the finish line in Cable, WI. 1,700 participants will take part in this challenging fat tire marathon.

We'll drive from Howe St. to Crystal ridge and start riding at 4:45pm. Crystal Ridge is basically on the corner of 76th and Rawson. Here's the trail map:
